Fiona Greig has been named global head of investor research and policy for Vanguard Group's investment strategy group.
It is a new position, and Ms. Greig will report to Joseph H. Davis, global chief economist and global head of the investment strategy group, a spokesman said in an email.
Ms. Greig will lead Vanguard's global retirement and investor behavior research efforts, according to a note issued by Vanguard on Tuesday.
According to Vanguard's website, the investment strategy group is a global team that serves as Vanguard's "in-house think tank" and produces research on various investment topics.
Prior to joining Vanguard, Ms. Greig was managing director and co-president at the J.P. Morgan Chase Institute, a think tank that produces original research. Chris Wheat, former co-president, has been named president of the J.P. Morgan Chase Institute, a spokeswoman for J.P. Morgan Chase said in an email.
