Francesco Grana will become UBS Asset Management’s EMEA region head as the Swiss bank adjusts to its incorporation of Credit Suisse, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg.
Grana succeeds Aleksandar Ivanovic, who previously held this role until March this year when Ivanovic was appointed as head of asset management at UBS. Grana had previously been global head of wholesale client coverage at UBS AM since 2021, and has been with the firm since 2010.
Andre Mueller has also been appointed as head of client coverage and UBS AM region head for Switzerland, roles also previously held by Ivanovic. Mueller had previously been managing director for global wealth management client coverage at UBS since 2018, and has been with the firm since 2005.
Ivanovic said in the memo seen by Bloomberg that 2024 would be a “critical year” for the integration of Credit Suisse into the business. UBS acquired Credit Suisse in March last year in a $3.2 billion deal, following scandals and financial volatility at the latter firm.
UBS declined to comment on the job changes after being contacted by Pensions & Investments.
