Shamaila Khan has been named head of fixed income for emerging markets and Asia-Pacific at UBS Asset Management.
She succeeds Hayden Briscoe, who will take on a new role as Asia-Pacific head of multiasset portfolio management for investment solutions, in addition to his existing role as head of Hong Kong Asset Management, said a Thursday news release.
Ms. Khan will be based in New York and report to Charlotte Baenninger, global head of fixed income.
In his new role, Mr. Briscoe will report to Ryan Primmer, global head of investment solutions.
Ms. Khan most recently served as head of emerging markets fixed income at AllianceBernstein.
A spokeswoman for AlllianceBernstein said by email that Ms. Khan left that firm in October 2021 and that she was replaced by Christian DiClementi.
UBS Asset Management has $1.06 trillion in assets under management, a spokeswoman for UBS said by email.
The UBS spokeswoman declined to comment on how much in assets Ms. Khan will manage.
