Aleksandar Ivanovic has been named president of UBS Asset Management, effective March 1, succeeding Suni Harford, who has decided to retire.
Harford was appointed president of asset management in 2019 after joining the firm in 2017.
Ivanovic, who began his career at UBS in 1992, currently serves as head of client coverage and head of the EMEA and Switzerland regions for asset management, said a Jan. 24 news release.
In addition, Beatriz Martin Jimenez will succeed Harford as group executive board lead for sustainability and impact, while retaining her existing roles as head noncore and legacy and president-EMEA and U.K. chief executive.
Jimenez joined UBS in 2012.
On June 12, UBS Asset Management's parent UBS completed its emergency acquisition of rival Swiss bank Credit Suisse Group.
UBS Asset Management has $1.6 trillion in assets under management, said a spokesperson for the firm.
