Will Fuller was named president and CEO of retirement firm Transamerica, a spokesman for parent company Aegon Group said.
He will replace Mark Mullin effective March 31. Mr. Mullin will become chairman of the Transamerica Corp. board of directors, succeeding Don Shepard, who retired.
"He is a proven financial services leader with a distinguished track record," Lard Friese, CEO of Aegon, said of Mr. Fuller in a news release. "His deep understanding of our industry and personal drive make him the right person to lead our U.S. business into the next stage of our transformation."
Mr. Fuller was executive vice president at Lincoln Financial Group, working across insurance, annuities, retirement plans and wealth management. John Kennedy was named executive vice president and president of Lincoln Financial Distributors. He was head of retirement solutions distribution sales. Ellen Cooper, executive vice president, CIO and head of risk took on responsibility for the annuities business. Both replaced Mr. Fuller, a news release said.
Mr. Fuller was also co-chairman of the firm’s diversity and inclusion committee.
