Jon Dawson was named director of business development for the U.K., Europe, Middle East and Africa at U.S. firm Thornburg Investment Management, according to a news release.
The appointment comes as Thornburg opens a London office, from which Dawson will be based. The firm has also hired Cornelia Sanders as head of international marketing. These are both newly created roles, reporting to Jonathan Schuman, head of international.
“This expansion is a significant milestone in Thornburg’s commitment to partner with global clients to meet their long-term financial needs,” said Thornburg CEO Mark Zinkula in the news release. “We look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional investment solutions in the U.K. and EMEA region.”
Dawson was head of asset management distribution at Fortem Capital, which has been contacted regarding who will replace him.
