Megan McClellan has joined TCW Group as head of corporate strategy, a newly created role, according to an internal memo issued by Kathryn Koch, president and CEO, on Monday.
In this position, Ms. McClellan will work closely with Ms. Koch and the asset manager's business leaders "to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for TCW focused on growth and innovation," the memo said.
Ms. McClellan is based in New York, but will spend "considerable time in Los Angeles in order to work with our leadership team on TCW's growth plan," the memo added.
Ms. McClellan most recently served as global head of private credit at J.P. Morgan Chase.
A spokesman for J.P. Morgan said by email that "J.P. Morgan Asset Management's private credit businesses now report to Anton Pil, head of global alternatives."
TCW had $210 billion in assets under management as of June 30, according to the company website.
