Jason Smith was named chief investment officer at Tabula Investment Management, confirmed a spokesman.
The position is new. Mr. Smith joined at the end of last year as a consultant and recently moved into the new role, the spokesman said.
Mr. Smith is responsible for designing and creating a range of new strategies, including inflation and alternative credit exposures, for the specialist fixed-income exchange traded funds manager. The firm has €170 million ($184.4 million) in assets under management.
He was a senior portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, focusing on fixed-income portfolios including rates, inflation, liability-driven investing and secured finance, the release said.
