Theresa McLaughlin was named head of global marketing at T. Rowe Price Group, confirmed company spokesman Brian Lewbart in an email.
The position is new.
Effective Oct. 25, Ms. McLaughlin will work with the firm's marketing teams to develop the firm's marketing campaign and manage its brand strategy. She will also chair the firm's marketing leadership team, which is made up of marketing leaders across T. Rowe's global business lines.
She will be based in Baltimore and report to Robert Higginbotham, T. Rowe's head of global distribution.
Ms. McLaughlin was global chief marketing officer for State Street Corp. Julia McCarthy, executive vice president, head of global client experience, leads global marketing at the company, confirmed Ed Patterson, a State Street spokesman, in an email.
T. Rowe Price had $1.68 trillion in assets under management as of Aug. 30.
