Ben Riley has been appointed to the newly created role of head of insurance at T. Rowe Price, effective Jan. 1.
He will oversee a team responsible for insurance clients in North America, while also coordinating T. Rowe Price’s global insurance efforts, said a news release Oct. 16.
Riley will continue to report to Doug Greenstein, head of institutional business development for the Americas.
Riley has been with T. Rowe Price since 2001. A spokesperson said Riley’s current position is senior relationship manager for insurance clients for the Americas division. In his new role, Riley will "maintain coverage responsibilities for current clients and prospects and he will also have a team of relationship managers reporting to him," the spokesperson added.
T. Rowe Price had $1.63 trillion in assets under management as of Sept. 30, of which about $23.5 billion is insurance-related AUM, according to the firm’s website.
