Ashlesha Vaishampayan was named head of consultant relations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at asset management firm T. Rowe Price Group, according to a news release.
Vaishampayan will start Jan. 1. She will relocate from Singapore to London for the position, having previously acted as a lead in consultant relations for the Asia ex-Japan markets at T. Rowe Price since 2019.
In her new role, Vaishampayan will expected to leverage her extensive consultant network and wealth of knowledge on T. Rowe Price’s investment capabilities to build and strengthen consultant relationships across EMEA.
"Ash has shown exceptional leadership in expanding our consultant relations footprint across Asia,” said Nick Slater, head of global consultant relations at T. Rowe Price, in the news release.
"Her transition to the EMEA region comes at a time where her expertise will propel our ambitions to deepen relationships and gain significant traction with consultants and research houses across key markets. We are confident that her leadership will drive significant success," Slater added.
Vaishampayan’s existing responsibilities in Asia will transfer to Cassandra Crowe, who will become the head of Asia-Pacific consultant relations. Crowe also joined T. Rowe Price in 2019.
In her new EMEA role, Vaishampayan replaces Luke Selway, who left T. Rowe Price in April to take on the position of head of international consultant relations at Polen Capital.
T. Rowe Price had $1.6 trillion in assets under management as of Oct. 31.
