Darren Hall was named head of distribution for Australia and New Zealand at T. Rowe Price, effective Aug. 28.
Mr. Hall will replace Murray Brewer, a 14-year T. Rowe veteran. Mr. Brewer will stay on until the end of 2020 to help with the transition, said a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman with the firm.
Mr. Brewer, in an email, said Mr. Hall is "well placed to take the business to the next level." Mr. Brewer also said he'll look to take some time off and then eventually consider "a number of great options ahead of me."
Mr. Hall, in his Sydney-based role, will oversee T. Rowe's institutional and financial intermediary businesses in Australia and New Zealand, reporting to Nick Trueman, Singapore-based head of distribution for the Asia-Pacific region. He currently serves as T. Rowe Price's head of intermediary for Australia and New Zealand. The spokeswoman said Mr. Hall will retain some of his current Australian account responsibilities, while others are being assumed by members of the firm's intermediary team.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hall and Mr. Trueman "will work together to conduct a full review of the team and its structure," the spokeswoman said.
T. Rowe reported $1.13 trillion in assets under management as of April 30.
