Jordy W. Chilcott was promoted to president of Sun Life Global Investments and assumed the newly created role of senior vice president, investment solutions.
Mr. Chilcott replaces Richard Headrick in the role of president, confirmed Michael Gaspar, a Sun Life spokesman. Mr. Headrick left the firm a few weeks ago, Mr. Gaspar said. Mr. Headrick's plans could not be learned.
Mr. Chilcott was head of investment distribution for Sun Life Global Investments, which provides investment strategies for Canadian institutional and retail investors. Mr. Gaspar said the firm hasn't determined a replacement for Mr. Chilcott in his previous role.
"Jordy has been integral to SLGI's success since he joined Sun Life" in 2017, said Jacques Goulet, president of Sun Life Financial Canada, in a news release, adding "his breadth of experience, client-centric approach and track record of leading high-performing teams make him a great fit to lead the business."
Sun Life Global Investments manages C$25 billion ($19 billion).
