Jackie O. Gifford joined Strategic Investment Group as managing director and head of non-U.S. equity.
Ms. Gifford will also serve as co-head of the public equities team along with Ted Joseph, managing director and head of U.S. equity, according to a news release Wednesday.
Ms. Gifford was director of marketable investments at the $4.2 billion Annie E. Casey Foundation, Baltimore. According to its website, the foundation is a private philanthropy which is "devoted to developing a brighter future for millions of children and young people with respect to their educational, economic, social and health outcomes."
Strategic had $24.3 billion in discretionary assets under management as of Sept. 30.
