Valentina M. Glaviano was named managing director, client development team, at outsourced CIO specialist Strategic Investment Group.
She reports to Nikki Kraus, managing director and global head of client development, according to a news release Tuesday.
Ms. Glaviano was previously director of outsourced chief investment officer services at Covariance Capital Management, a former subsidiary of TIAA-CREF Endowment & Philanthropic Services, the news release said. TIAA-CREF spokesman John McCool said in an email that Ms. Glaviano left in January as part of the company winding down its endowment business.
Strategic Investment Group had $23 billion in discretionary assets under management as of March 31.
Ms. Kraus could not be immediately reached for further information.
