Kenneth M. Shimberg was named managing director on Strategic Investment Group's relationship management team, said Brian A. Murdock, president and CEO.
Mr. Shimberg joined the outsourced CIO firm on Sept. 3 and reports to Kenneth I. Grossfield, chief administrative officer and general counsel.
Mr. Shimberg takes on new responsibilities as well as those of a team member who left the firm, Mr. Murdock said. He would not provide further information on that team member.
Mr. Shimberg was previously at Mercer, where he was U.S. endowment and foundations chief investment officer for outsourced CIO services.

Strategic Investment Group had $26 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
