Carlo M. Funk was named head of environmental, social and governance investment strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at State Street Global Advisors, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Funk works with the ESG research and development, investment research and management teams to design ESG investment solutions for advisers, consultants and institutional clients.
Mr. Funk was an EMEA sustainable investing sales specialist at BlackRock. Additional details could not be learned.
SSGA had $2.92 trillion in assets under management as of June 30.
