Vincent Georgel-O'Reilly was named regional segment head of alternatives in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at State Street.
The position is new, a news release said.
Mr. O'Reilly covers hedge funds and private markets for the firm and is responsible for developing the strategic direction of investment services, product structuring, sales and operations in EMEA.
He reports to Paul Fleming, global head of alternatives and Joerg Ambrosius, CEO of EMEA. Mr. O'Reilly works closely with Messrs. Fleming and Ambrosius.
"Vincent is an excellent leader who has a deep understanding of the market and our business, and brings with him an impressive track record of delivering results across various asset classes," Mr. Fleming said in the news release. "He is strongly positioned to lead our alternatives business in EMEA, and work together with clients to be a true value-added partner as they look to expand into new markets, asset types and attract different investors."
Mr. O'Reilly has been with State Street for 14 years. His most recent role was not available.
State Street had $38.8 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration and $3.5 trillion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
