Khalil Edwards was named managing director, global capital raising and investor relations group, at Starwood Capital Group.
The position is new, a spokesman said in an email. Mr. Edwards is responsible for raising capital in North America for the real assets money manager’s private investment funds and co-investments. He joined Starwood on Feb. 1 and reports to Michael Lefton, managing director.
Mr. Edwards was previously managing director and head of capital raising and investor relations at real estate manager CityView, a CityView spokeswoman confirmed. She had no further information on the position.
Starwood Capital Group has more than $70 billion in assets under management.
