Kristy Barr was named U.K. distribution director for key accounts at Standard Life Aberdeen, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Reporting to Noel Butwell, managing director of U.K. distribution,
Ms. Barr will be responsible for the newly formed key accounts team, covering platform and investment specialists effective July 8. She will lead a team of 15 people, covering national banks, discretionary fund management, retail banks, private banks and multimanagers.
"(Ms. Barr's) breadth of experience and knowledge of the market will complement and strengthen the team. This newly created role will enable (her) and her team to really concentrate on the specialist relationships we have built across the U.K. wholesale market, helping us to work more closely with these key sectors," Mr. Butwell said in a news release.
Ms. Barr worked as head of capital partnerships at RF Capital.
