Ann Prendergast was named head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at State Street Global Advisors, the $3.69 trillion asset manager said in a news release Nov. 20.
Prendergast, who will also continue to lead State Street Global Advisors Europe, succeeds Rory Tobin, who is retiring.
Her new role includes overseeing SSGA's strategic direction in Europe and regulatory oversight for the EMEA activities. She will remain based in Dublin and report directly to Yie-Hsin Hung, president and CEO, the news release said.
