Nicole Adshead-Bell has joined Sprott Asset Management USA as a portfolio manager, spokesman Glen Williams said.
The position is new. Ms. Adshead-Bell will work alongside senior portfolio manager John Hathaway and the Sprott gold team in managing the firm's gold equity strategies. She will also serve as chairwoman of the Sprott environmental, social and governance committee.
She will report to CIO Whitney George.
Ms. Adshead-Bell was director of Cupel Advisory. She confirmed in an email that the firm is being shuttered.
