Tom Murphy, head of institutional business at money manager SLC Management, was named president, fixed income.
It is a new position that reflects the manager's growing fixed-income business, a spokeswoman said. Mr. Murphy, who retains his prior title as well, will now formally lead the manager's C$188 billion ($147.9 billion) fixed-income business.
The business includes investment-grade public and private credit, liability-driven investment management, multiasset credit and structured credit strategies, according to a news release Tuesday.
As of Dec. 31, SLC Management had C$347 billion in assets under management.
