James Zhang Jun joined Singapore's Fullerton Fund Management as general manager of its mainland China business, Fullerton Investment Management (Shanghai) Co.
Mr. Zhang replaced Mark Li, effective Monday. Mr. Li left to pursue other opportunities, a Fullerton news release said. In an email, Mr. Li said he plans to take time off and spend some time with his family.
Fullerton Fund Management Co. had over S$50 billion ($35.4 billion) in assets under management as of April 30, according to the news release.
Mr. Zhang joined Fullerton from China International Fund Management Co., the Shanghai-based joint venture between J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Shanghai International Trust Co., where he was executive vice president and managing director of sales.
