Arthur R. Zaske, managing director, was named deputy CIO by alternatives manager Silver Creek Capital Management.
The position has been vacant since 2015. Eric Dillon, founder, CEO and CIO, assumed the duties of the position in the interim, spokeswoman said Amanda Klein said in an email.
Mr. Zaske will retain oversight of the firm's liquid hedge funds and will continue to lead Silver Creek's investment committee with Mr. Dillion, a company news release said.
Mr. Zaske joined the firm in 2006.
"There is no one more capable and deserving of the deputy CIO title than Art, who has demonstrated his broad investment expertise, commitment to risk management and dedication to providing the highest-quality service to our clients," Mr. Dillon said in the release, adding that he looks forward to working with Mr. Zaske to "develop unique investment solutions that generate strong risk-adjusted returns for our investors.
Silver Creek manages $7 billion in hedge fund, private credit and real asset strategies.
