Nigel Aston was named defined contribution sales director at SEI, a spokesman said.
Effective Monday, London-based Mr. Aston oversees SEI's defined contribution business development for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region within the firm's U.K. institutional group.
Mr. Aston also focuses on growing the firm's multiemployer plan, SEI Master Trust. The spokesman did not comment on who Mr. Aston replaced. Assets were not available.
"Nigel's experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand our master trust offering. Communicating the master trust's benefits to prospective employers and members is critical to how much we can improve members' retirement outcomes. We look forward to Nigel's focus in this area and are delighted to welcome him to the team," Steve Charlton, managing director of DC, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia for SEI's U.K. institutional group, said in a news release.
Mr. Aston was senior managing director at State Street Global Advisors until May 2019.
A spokesman could not be reached to provide details about Mr. Aston's replacement. SSGA's DC assets under management could not be learned.
