David Morton was named head of U.K. investment strategy at global investment advisory and risk management firm SECOR Asset Management, a spokesman confirmed.
The role is new. Mr. Morton will work closely with the firm's head of U.K. distribution, Jason Allan, to further develop the service offering in the U.K.
"David has significant experience in both corporate and local authority, guiding pension schemes through investment strategy and implementation towards their endgame. As such, he will add great value in enhancing the service we offer our clients," Tony Kao, managing principal at SECOR, said in a news release Tuesday.
Mr. Morton was partner and senior member of the investment team at U.K. consultant Hymans Robertson. His daily responsibilities will be taken over by other members of the investment team, a spokeswoman said.
