Margot Von Aesch was named head of sustainable investment management at Schroders, a spokesman said.
In the new role, Ms. Von Aesch is focused on research and development of sustainable investment models as well as the integration of this analysis into Schroders' investment decision-making.
Ms. Von Aesch and Kimberley Lewis, who was appointed head of active ownership in July, report to Andy Howard, global head of sustainable investment.
"These additions will further strengthen Schroders' ability to deliver market-leading sustainability data, support its focus on stewardship and engagement and expand the products and services it offers to its clients globally," Mr. Howard said in a news release Monday.
Ms. Aesch was previously partner at European equity broker and research house Redburn.
Schroders had £700.4 billion ($969.9 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
