Kieran Farrelly was named head of global solutions for real estate at Schroders Capital, a spokesman confirmed.
The position is new. Mr. Farrelly focuses on expanding international investments by selecting the most attractive risk-adjusted real estate strategies globally and leads the development, launch and implementation of real estate strategies. He reports to Sophie van Oosterom, global head of real estate.
"Kieran has a strong track record of selecting and managing outperforming real estate strategies through direct and indirect investments that fulfill client requirements along the risk-return spectrum," Ms. Van Oosterom said in a news release Thursday. "With his deep and extensive knowledge of real estate markets globally, we believe he will be a great addition to the team."
Mr. Farrelly was previously a partner within StepStone Group's real estate team. A spokesman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
Schroders Capital has $66.5 billion in assets under management.
