Andy Chorlton was named head of fixed income at Schroders, spokeswoman Jennifer Manser O'Rourke confirmed.
Effective Oct. 1, Mr. Chorlton will replace Philippe Lespinard, who is retiring.
Mr. Chorlton will oversee the firm's $125 billion fixed-income business. He will also join the firm's group management committee and report to Charles Prideaux, global head of investment.
Mr. Chorlton is head of U.S. multisector and fixed-income solutions Schroders. He will be replaced by Lisa Hornby, fixed-income portfolio manager at Schroders once he assumes his new role.
Schroders had £525.8 billion ($647.9 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
