Christiaan van der Kam was named head of secondaries at Schroder Adveq, a spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Kam replaces Nico Taverna, who left the private equity business at the end of last year to take on an entrepreneurial initiative, the Schroders spokesman said.
The appointment is effective Sept. 1. Mr. Kam will report to Rainer Ender, head of Schroder Adveq. "The strengthened secondaries team under the leadership of (Mr. Kam) is an important element of Schroder Adveq's global investment practice," Mr. Ender said in a news release.
Schroder Adveq has $11.5 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Kam was co-head of secondaries at Unigestion. A spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.
