Colin Lancaster was named global head of discretionary macro and fixed income at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, leading a team lifted out from Matador Investment Management.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said in an email. Mr. Lancaster, who will join the money manager later this summer, will report to Ryan Tolkin, CEO and chief investment officer.
Mr. Lancaster was previously chief investment officer at Matador Investment Management, which is closing as a result of 11 employees, including its entire investment team, moving to Schonfeld, the spokeswoman said.
Schonfeld Strategic Advisors currently has about $7.8 billion in assets under management.
