Samantha Alexander was appointed as country officer for the U.K. at DWS Asset Management.
She will take on the role previously held by Jessica Hardman, in addition to her existing role as chief operating officer for the U.K. and join DWS’ EMEA leadership council effective immediately, a July 23 release confirmed.
In this role, Alexander will be responsible for oversight of the U.K. and its contribution to DWS’ overall corporate strategy and working with multiple stakeholders, including managing governance and interactions with regulators, and DWS’ relationships with key industry associations.
“The U.K. showcases the diverse talent that DWS has across all investment capabilities and business lines, and is an important location for DWS,” Samantha Alexander said in the release, “not only as a significant pool of talent but also as one of the largest capital markets globally. I look forward to continuing to support the business and our growth strategy as well as furthering our DE&I responsibilities”.
Alexander first joined DWS at Deutsche Bank in 2011 as a program manager in the business solutions group and program manager for the global client group and most recently chief operating officer for the U.K. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank and DWS, Alexander also held operational roles at various international banks.
DWS Group, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, held €941 billion ($1.02 trillion) in assets under management as of March 31.
