Chris Anker was appointed head of sustainability and integration at RWC Partners, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Mr. Anker leads the firm's environmental, social and governance initiatives and reports to Arthur Grigoryants, head of investment strategy and ESG. Whether Mr. Anker's position is new was not available.
"The regulatory and client environment in relation to ESG is rapidly evolving and presents one of the key opportunities for investment organizations and asset owners in (the) coming years," Mr. Grigoryants said in a news release. "We are taking the opportunity to increase our resources devoted to collaboration, implementation and reporting of our ESG initiatives across our client portfolios."
RWC has $24 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Anker was senior analyst responsible for investment policy at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. A spokeswoman said the firm is recruiting for a replacement.
