Simon Partridge joined Russell Investments as U.K. head of fiduciary management solutions, a spokesman confirmed.
The role is new and Mr. Partridge joined Thursday.
He works closely with the firm's institutional team to manage new and existing client relationships, continuing the growth of the outsourced CIO business.
He reports to Jim Leggate, managing director, head of U.K. institutional, Middle East and Africa.
The firm plans to further expand its U.K. fiduciary management team this year, a news release said. Russell Investments had £236.9 billion ($325.7 billion) in assets under management as of March 31. The firm had $183.8 billion in OCIO solutions AUM as of March 31, according to Pensions & Investments data.
Mr. Partridge co-founded BlackRock's dedicated OCIO team. He also led relationships with the firm's U.K. institutional clients, responsible for business development and account management for U.K. pension funds, the release said. A person familiar with the situation said a recruitment process is underway.
