Jai Jacob was named managing director and director of investment strategy at Rockefeller Asset Management, the asset management arm of Rockefeller Capital Management.
It is a new position. Jacob will help lead Rockefeller’s “growing equity solutions, focusing on combining quantitative techniques with fundamental research to support the investment process, generate differentiated alpha signals, and manage risk,” said a news release Jan. 7.
Reporting to Casey Clark, president and chief investment officer of Rockefeller Asset Management, Jacob will also act as co-portfolio manager on select strategies and collaborate with institutional investors to develop equity strategies that meet client needs.
Jacob most recently was chair of the quantitative, multiasset and alternatives investment group at Lazard Asset Management. A Lazard spokesperson said the firm has reorganized the business that Jacob previously led, and that Kim Tilley, managing director, is leading what is now called the firm's solutions business.
Rockefeller Asset Management has $16.3 billion of assets under supervision, including $15.9 billion in assets under management.
