Rehan Virani was named head of alternative credit solutions and strategy at money manager Muzinich & Co.
It is a new position, a spokesperson said. Based in New York, Virani has also joined the firm’s global product committee and reports to George Muzinich, founder and executive chairman, and CEO Justin Muzinich.
Virani will oversee the firm’s private capital partnering and capital formation activities across alternative credit strategies, targeting Asian and North American investors, according to an April 3 news release.
He was previously CEO of alternative investment manager Vibrant Capital Partners. Officials at that firm could not be immediately reached for further information.
As of Feb. 29, Muzinich & Co. had $34 billion in assets under management.
