Jane Nicholls joined money manager Redwheel as head of business development, based in London.
Ms. Nicholls replaced Tord Stallvik, who was appointed CEO at the firm — formerly known as RWC Partners — last year. When Mr. Stallvik stepped up to the CEO role, Frances Selby and Gary Tuffield became co-heads of sales, leading the team globally, and Sunita Patel was appointed head of marketing, a spokeswoman said. The three provided leadership to the sales and marketing teams under Mr. Stallvik's guidance prior to Ms. Nicholls' appointment.
Ms. Nicholls leads the global sales, marketing and client-facing operations and is responsible for broadening and accelerating Redwheel's strategic business plans. She has a focus on the commercial development of new and existing investment teams and capabilities.
Reporting to Mr. Stallvik, Ms. Nicholls also joins the executive committee.
Redwheel has $20.4 billion in assets under management across developed and emerging markets equities, convertible bonds and income strategies.
Ms. Nicholls was global head of ESG client strategy at abrdn. The team was reorganized earlier this year to create abrdn's sustainability group, a spokeswoman said. While there was no direct replacement for Ms. Nicholls, her responsibilities are covered within the new group.
