Donald Sanya was named head of U.S. distribution at RBC Global Asset Management.
It is a new position, spokesman Tony Catinella said in an email.
Mr. Sanya, who is based in Boston, reports to Mike Lee, head of North American institutional.
Mr. Sanya will oversee all distribution efforts for the manager, which includes U.S. client services, consultant relations, institutional and intermediary sales, and liquidity management. He was previously head of U.S. institutional sales. That role will not be filled, Mr. Catinella said.
As of Dec. 31, RBC GAM had $389 billion in assets under management.
