Inigo Garcia Gordobil was named an investment director with real asset and alternative investment manager QIC's global private capital unit, spokeswoman Caroline Gentile said in an email.
He replaces another unnamed executive. QIC has a policy of not discussing individuals who have left the firm, Ms. Gentile said.
Mr. Gordobil is based in QIC's San Francisco office, focusing on the North American alternative investment market, including co-investments. He is also on the investment committee of QIC's global private capital group.
Mr. Gordobil was a senior investment director and co-head of U.S. venture capital and growth equity research at Cambridge Associates. “Inigo was a valued member of the Cambridge private investment team for nearly a decade and we wish him the best in his new role,” Cambridge Associates said in a written statement. “His responsibilities are being filled by other members of Cambridge’s worldwide investment team.”
