Robert White, president of Eaton Vance Management International (Asia) Pte. Ltd., will retire from the company after a decade leading its business in the region.
Mr. White, in an email Wednesday, said that after 40 years in the industry, recent COVID-related events "have forced me to revisit priorities," resulting in a decision to return to the U.K. to spend more time with the family.
Robyn Tice, a spokeswoman for Boston-based Eaton Vance, said the firm has "initiated a search for Rob's replacement."
Mr. White said he remains "very much committed to Eaton Vance's business in the (Asia-Pacific region) and will remain involved until my successor is appointed."
