Caroline Lovelace has been named chief investment officer and co-portfolio manager at Memphis, Tenn.-based alternative investment management firm Preserver Partners.
As CIO, Ms. Lovelace succeeds Floyd Tyler Jr., Preserver Partners' founder and former CIO, who passed away in early 2023, a spokesman for the firm confirmed by email.
In her roles, Ms. Lovelace oversees all investments for the firm's managed portfolios, focusing on portfolio construction, manager selection and risk management, said a Tuesday release.
Ms. Lovelace was most recently at Appomattox Advisors, the spokesman noted.
Preserver Partners manages assets for pension plans, endowments, foundations, corporations, family offices and individual investors.
The firm had assets of $222 million as of April 30, the spokesman added.
Ms. Lovelace was chief operating officer of Appomattox Advisors from Sept. 15 until April 4, said a spokeswoman for Appomattox by email.
Appomattox's new COO is Kristin Melino.
