Peter Weidner stepped down as head of Allspring Global Investments’ systematic edge equity business at the end of September, a spokesperson confirmed.
Senior portfolio managers Harindra de Silva, a 37-year industry veteran, and John Campbell, with more than 29 years in the industry, will lead the systematic edge equity business going forward, the spokesperson said.
De Silva and Campbell will report to Ann Miletti, Allspring's head of active equity.
Allspring’s website shows its systematic investment business globally has 65 investment professionals overseeing $28.4 billion in client assets. The equity business Weidner oversaw accounts for more than $10 billion of that total.
Weidner couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
