Mickey Janvier was appointed head of distribution-Americas at Australian asset manager Perpetual.
Mr. Janvier will "lead a newly established team of distribution, sales, marketing and product professionals, positioning the Americas business for further success and growth," said a news release Monday.
Mr. Janvier has spent the past 12 years at abrdn in various roles, most recently leading both institutional and intermediary sales channels, the news release said.
Perpetual has about A$200 billion ($132.9 billion) in assets under management, according to the company website.
Mr. Janvier, who is based in Wilmington, Del., will report to David Lane, chief executive-Americas and Adam Quaife, chief distribution officer, a spokeswoman for Perpetual said in an email.
Mr. Janvier is replacing the role of Chuck Thompson, who served as head of distribution and strategy-Americas. "Due to the recent acquisition of Pendal (Group) by Perpetual, the role and structure have evolved," the spokeswoman added.
Regarding Mr. Janvier's departure from abrdn, a spokesman for that firm said in an email: "At this time, we are not actively recruiting to replace the role, but will evaluate our structure as we continuously strengthen alignment between meeting our clients' needs and abrdn's strategic commitment for growth in the Americas."
