Raphael Heynold was named a managing director at Partners Capital Investment Group, a company spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new. Mr. Heynold will join the firm's senior leadership team to help develop the business, focusing on Partners Capital's family office and institutional clients. He will be based out of the London office and work closely with Arjun Raghavan, CEO of Partners Capital.
Mr. Heynold's appointment is part of the firm's recent plan to bolster its senior leadership team with specialists.
Mr. Heynold was global head of the institutional private client group at HSBC. An HSBC representative could not be immediately reached for comment.
Partners Capital Investment Group is an outsourced CIO firm that oversees $32 billion in assets.
