Michael Viehs was named senior principal and global head of sustainable investing at outsourced CIO firm Partners Capital Investment Group.
Mr. Viehs joined the firm Monday, a spokeswoman said in an email. Based in London, he reports to CEO Arjun Raghavan.
It is a new position. Euan Finlay, partner and head of the responsible investment committee, and Stan Miranda, founder and chairman, were previously leading the firm's sustainable investment efforts, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Viehs was previously head of ESG integration at Federated Hermes. A spokesman for Federated Hermes said in an email that team members have taken over Mr. Viehs’ responsibilities and he will not be replaced.
Partners Capital has about $48 billion in assets under management.
