David W. Phillips was named director, liability-driven investment strategies at Parametric Portfolio Associates, spokeswoman Christine Hudacko said.
It is a new position. Mr. Phillips, who is based in Seattle and joined Parametric on July 29, reports to Justin Henne, managing director of investment strategy.
Mr. Phillips was previously director, client strategy and research/risk analytics at Russell Investments. A Russell spokesman said his responsibilities have been covered by other employees.
Parametric has $252.4 billion in assets under management.
