Rachel Green was named vice president and director of institutional sales at Nuveen, a spokeswoman said.
The role is new. Ms. Green is part of the firm's U.K. international advisory services team and is responsible for developing relationships with U.K. institutional investors, investment consultants and other advisers. She reports to Chris Leak, head of U.K. international advisory services.
"Rachel brings a wealth of experience with her and we are thrilled to have her on board. She will play a key role in continuing to grow our investment and distribution capabilities in the U.K. to meet the increased interest from U.K. and European investors," Mr. Leak said in a news release Monday.
"The challenges to find risk-adjusted (yields) have only risen following tough market conditions in 2020. Now more than ever, investors across the world wish to partner with like-minded managers with a proven track record to help them meet their long-term goals. Rachel's relationship management skills are greatly welcomed as we expand our client partnerships in the U.K. and beyond across our broad investment platform," Mr. Leak added in the news release.
Nuveen had $1 trillion in assets under management as of June 30.
Ms. Green was most recently associate director of institutional sales at Aviva Investors. Details of her replacement could not be immediately learned.
