Kasper Elmgreen was named CIO of fixed income and equities at Nordea Asset Management effective Aug. 1, a spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Elmgreen will replace Jens Rygaard, who has decided to leave Nordea. Details of Mr. Rygaard's next appointment could not be immediately learned.
Nordea Asset Management had €241 billion ($262.1 billion) in assets under management as of March 31.
Mr. Elmgreen was head of equities and a member of the global investment committee at Amundi since 2019.
An Amundi spokesman said that the firm intends to replace Mr. Elmgreen as soon as possible. In the meantime, Matteo Germano, deputy CIO, will act as interim head, the spokesman said.
Amundi had €1.93 trillion in assets under management as of March 31.
