James Elks and Lindsay Nickerson have joined the London-based distribution team of Nordea Asset Management, according to a news release.
Both are new positions. Elks has been appointed global head of investment consultant relations, while Nickerson has been named as director of U.K. institutional relations.
Nickerson is tasked with reinforcing NAM’s relationships with U.K. defined contribution and defined benefit clients. She will collaborate with clients to share NAM’s expertise across all major asset classes — including green bonds, real assets, climate and engagement equities, liquid alternatives, and beta-plus strategies.
“We are excited to welcome James and Lindsay to the Nordea Asset Management family,” said David Crawford, head of institutional and wholesale distribution U.K.
“James brings two decades of deep industry experience and strong leadership, while Lindsay offers valuable DC insights and a broad range of research expertise from her extensive background as an investment specialist.”
Elks was previously at Royal London Asset Management, where he spent two years leading global business development. Nickerson joined NAM after a decade at Aon, where she was an associate partner within the group’s U.K. DC practice.
Both RLAM and Aon couldn't immediately be reached regarding respective replacements.
Nordea is headquartered in Helsinki and had €265 billion ($284 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
